Creating opportunities to connect, explore and thrive through nature.
I offer Forest School and nature-based experiences for children, families, educational settings and women across Suffolk and Essex.
Whether you're looking for regular Forest School sessions, outdoor experiences for your setting, a woodland birthday party or nature-based wellbeing sessions for women, I create welcoming outdoor spaces where people can learn, connect and grow.
What I Offer
What is Forest School?
Why Forest School?
Forest School is a long-term, child-centred approach to learning that takes place outdoors in a natural environment.
Rather than focusing on specific outcomes, Forest School encourages children to lead their own learning through play, exploration and supported risk-taking.
Sessions are designed to help children build confidence, resilience, independence and a lifelong connection with the natural world.
At a time when children spend increasing amounts of time indoors and on screens, Forest School offers the opportunity to slow down, get muddy, take risks, solve problems and develop a deeper appreciation of nature.
Children learn best when they feel free to explore.
In the woods, there are no worksheets, no pressure to get things right and no expectations to fit into a particular mould.
Instead, children are encouraged to:
✔ Build confidence through new experiences
✔ Develop resilience and problem-solving skills
✔ Improve communication and teamwork
✔ Learn to assess and manage risk safely
✔ Develop creativity and imagination
✔ Build a connection with the natural world
✔ Improve emotional wellbeing
✔ Experience the joy of outdoor play
Every child engages with Forest School differently, and that's exactly how it should be.
Meet Your Forest School Leader
Hi, I'm Anna.
My passion for Forest School comes from a lifelong belief in the importance of connection, wellbeing and community.
Alongside my background in social work and supporting families, I have seen first-hand the positive impact that outdoor experiences can have on confidence, mental wellbeing and personal development.
Forest School brings together many of the values that sit at the heart of all my work: connection, curiosity, resilience and creating supportive environments where people can thrive.
Qualifications & Safety
Parents, schools and organisations can be confident that sessions are delivered safely and professionally.
I am:
✔ Forest School trained and currently completing my Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification through Essex Forest School Training
✔ Paediatric First Aid trained
✔ Enhanced DBS checked
✔ Fully insured through Birnbeck Insurance Services
✔ Experienced in supporting children, young people and families through my professional background in social work
Safety, inclusion and wellbeing are at the heart of every session I deliver.
The Benefits of Outdoor Learning
Nature offers something that modern life often struggles to provide: space.
Space to move.
Space to think.
Space to be creative.
Space to simply be.
Research consistently shows that time spent in nature can support children's physical health, emotional wellbeing, concentration and confidence.
Forest School provides a regular opportunity for children to experience these benefits while having fun, building friendships and creating lasting memories.
